Transition: Torpedo

Transition: Torpedo

This is an easy, get-going drill to start your practice with. With a lot of players in movement simultaneously, your forwards can choose if they want to go with 1 or 2 players. Defensemen will play as D2 and D1 before moving out of the drill.

Minnesota Wild - 04 3v0 to 2v1

With this drill, start with a breakout short side, following a 3v0 rush with a delay. The player doing the delay will receive the 2v1. A bit of a slow pace, but the drill works on the routes and execution of the delay and the 2v1.

This drill helps work on Tape to Tape pass, Communication, Speed, and Shoot To Score with one side at a time and 3 players simultaneously.

At TDP, our culture is built on the belief that doing the right things every day for ourselves, our teammates, and the game, creates excellence. Success is never accidental; it’s earned in the quiet, unseen moments when no one is watching. We expect our athletes to push the pace, train with intensity, and embrace pressure, because pressure in practice creates diamonds in games.
